Privacy Policy

We collect as little data as possible. Here is exactly what we store, why, and for how long.

What We Collect

BROWSER ID

A randomly generated identifier stored in your browser localStorage. Used only to track your daily AI polish usage and liked prompts. Never linked to your name or email. Cleared when you clear browser data.

USAGE COUNTS

A daily request count stored in Cloudflare KV against your Browser ID. Resets every 24 hours. No prompt content is stored against this key.

COMMUNITY PROMPTS

Prompts you voluntarily submit to the Spellbook are stored in our Cloudflare D1 database and are publicly visible. This includes: prompt text, title, domain, the author name you provide (or "Anonymous"), and a timestamp.

AD NETWORKS

We display ads via Google AdSense only after you provide cookie consent. AdSense may set its own cookies per Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out via Google's ad settings.

What We Do NOT Collect

Your name, email, or any account information
The prompts you generate (processed server-side and immediately discarded)
Your IP address beyond what Cloudflare logs for DDoS protection
Browsing history or cross-site tracking data
Payment information (the service is free)

Data Retention

Browser ID usage counts: auto-deleted after 24 hours
Community prompts: stored indefinitely unless removal is requested
Local storage: cleared when you clear your browser data

Your Rights

To request deletion of a community prompt you submitted, email [email protected] with the prompt title and approximate submission date. We will remove it within 7 days.
